Background
KEH Camera had a long-standing reputation in the photography world but struggled with a website that felt dated and cluttered. Its e-commerce features were limited, and users faced hurdles finding, comparing, and learning about camera equipment. As part of a design team tasked with reimagining KEH’s digital presence, I led the effort to give their site a much-needed refresh. It was essential to offer a reliable, straightforward experience for shoppers, sellers, and casual learners who wanted to make informed choices and understand the true value of every lens, body, or accessory they encountered.

Design
In coordination with brand strategists, we focused on a “go beyond” concept that reflected KEH’s expertise and passion for photography. We made it easier to explore different product categories, introduced an intuitive global search, and implemented a universal grading system that clearly explained product condition and usability. This ensured users could trust the site’s recommendations and swiftly find suitable items.
Our design team also crafted ways to highlight KEH’s commitment to customer service. We added streamlined support features, created dedicated spaces for trending topics, and built a 24/7 help channel. Influencer-driven Skillshare content was woven into the user journey, allowing photography enthusiasts to discover advice from trusted experts while browsing curated product lists and helpful tips tailored to specific specialties.
